Pastor Randy King was born and raised in the Oshkosh area on a dairy farm. When he was 17 years old he heard the gospel of Jesus Christ for the first time at a small Baptist church in Oshkosh called Southside Baptist Church. At the age of 18, in December of 1969, he trusted Christ and was baptized at Southside Baptist Church. Under the leadership of Pastor Howard Nelson he became the youth director in 1971 and served in that capacity until 1988. In February of 1988, Pastor Nelson officially resigned as pastor and began a ministry to the Scandinavian countries.
